The Family Prayer Bible

Heritage Builders Inc.

Elmer L. Towns The Family Prayer Bible includes select stories from the Bible for the whole family to read together, though it can still be read and studied alone.
The Family Prayer Bible begins with 12 stories from the Old Testament to provide a background of Jesus Christs' life and ministry. Following a transition between the Old and New Testaments, The Family Prayer Bible depicts stories about events before Jesus was born, and traces the life of Jesus from His birth . . . to His death . . . to the resurrection.

The life of Jesus is told in four books, called the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. In The Family Prayer Bible readers follow Jesus' life chronologically, from birth to resurrection choosing the stories in the gospel that best illustrate Jesus' life.

The Bible then follows the establishment of the church in the Book of Acts. It illustrates the triumphant growth of the church that fulfills Jesus' last command, i.e., the Great Commission. "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone" (Mark 16:15). There is also included an in depth survey of the letters (called Epistles or Books) written by the Apostle Paul and others. It concludes where the New Testament also ends, conjuring detailed images of Heaven and Earth as a result of His second coming, Revelation.
